In contrast to many private equity firms, we are not solely financial
buyers. Our principals are entrepreneurs who have started and managed
businesses. The heritage of the firm is based on our understanding
of the challenges faced by business owners/entrepreneurs and the
skills required to succeed in operations, marketing, finance, and
overall corporate strategy. We are available to actively support
our portfolio companies. However, while we strive to make a meaningful
contribution to each of our companies, the ultimate responsibility
for managing the business enterprise remains with the executives
of our portfolio companies. |
Partners
Warren H. Haber
Warren H. Haber co-founded Founders and has been at the firm for over 35 years.
He has equity research and investment banking experience, having been at Merrill
Lynch and Bear Stearns. Mr. Haber has served as an Executive Officer and/or
Director with a number of Founders portfolio companies and currently serves
on the board of directors of CoStar Group, Inc. (NASDAQ) and Warnex, Inc.
(Toronto Stock Exchange). Mr. Haber holds a BBA in Finance from Baruch College.

John L. Teeger
John L. Teeger has been at Founders for over 20 years. He has public accounting,
corporate finance, and investment banking experience with Arthur Andersen,
Anglovaal Limited, Union Acceptances, and Bear Stearns. Mr. Teeger has served
as President, Director, and CFO of several of Founders portfolio companies.
Mr. Teeger holds a BS degree from the University of Witwatersrand and an MBA
from Columbia University.

John D. White
John D. White, Jr. ("J.D.") has been at Founders for 15 years
and has served on the board of a number of Founders portfolio companies. He
was a co-founder of a previous portfolio company and served as its Executive
Vice President and CFO when it was taken public. He has global operating and
financial experience with Digital Equipment Corporation and investment banking
experience with PaineWebber. Mr. White holds a BS from Babson College,
a Masters in Taxation from Bentley College, and an MBA from Wharton.

DOLORES ARTON

Dolores joined Founders Equity in 2003 as Principal and CFO. She formerly was an investment banker at Citigroup and PaineWebber and has advised on more than 50 financing and M&A transactions, ranging from $20 million to $2 billion. Dolores gained management experience at Citigroup as Chief of Staff to the COO of the Global Investment Banking Group, responsible for over 1,500 professionals in 25 offices worldwide. Dolores started her career as a CPA with Grant Thornton and holds a BBA in Accounting from Temple University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.

J. RYAN KELLY

Ryan joined Founders Equity in 2003 and is a Principal. Ryan has eight years
of combined private equity experience with J. H. Whitney & Co. and RFE Investment Partners,
a private equity SBIC fund. Ryan started his career at Arthur Andersen Worldwide
as a Staff Accountant. Ryan holds a BS degree in Finance and Accounting from
Fairfield University.

ROGER VINCENT

Roger joined Founders Equity in 2004 and is a Principal. He graduated from
Columbia Business School with an MBA and from Dartmouth College and is a
member of the Beta Gamma Sigma honor society. Roger has nine years of combined
venture capital and private equity experience from the Sprout Group and DLJ
Merchant Banking. He has served as Interim CEO for a Sprout portfolio company.

Steve Ewing

Steve joined Founders in 2003 as a Senior Marketing Consultant.
Steve works with the investment team to identify and develop potential
investment opportunities. Steve has over 20 years of financial
and marketing experience at Wall Street firms including PaineWebber,
Smith Barney, Prudential Bache and Oppenheimer. Steve holds Series
7, 63 and 24 licenses. He earned a BS in Marketing from East Tennessee
University and is a decorated Vietnam veteran.

THOMAS GHEGAN

Thomas H. Ghegan ("Bud") joined Founders Equity in 2006 and is a Vice President. Bud
holds an M.B.A from Harvard Business School and a B.S. from the University of
Virginia. Prior to joining Founders, Bud worked in the private equity
and financial services practices of Mercer Management Consulting in New York and
London. In addition, Bud gained investment experience at the private equity
affiliate of a large financial services holding company.

KRISTIN SEARS

Kristin Sears joined Founders Equity in 2007 as an Office Administrator.
She is actively engaged with Dolores in the administrative area
of our organization. Kristin joins us with prior experience in real estate
management and assisting in prior entrepreneurial corporations. She graduated
from The Boston Conservatory of Music with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.
